These brokerage skills are used daily in acquisitions, development, and property management activities of the Company.
The active managers of MEI personally invest and participate on equal footing with the passive investor pool such that all investors are aligned.
MEI invests only in high quality properties with strong tenants in prime locations. Most frequently these properties are located in the Midwest and MEI avoids geographic regions that experience major swings in valuation.
MEI employs RSM as its independent accounting firm to provide tax advice and to prepare annual tax returns. Investors will receive a K-1 annually for each investment.
Although MEI exclusively purchases stabilized investments, MEI uses its experience to add value and build equity through early lease extensions, financing terms or re-tenanting.
MEI seeks to maximize the tax advantages of owning real estate for its investors including use of depreciation and 1031 exchanges .
